Police investigating shooting on Fifth and Pemberton, victim taken to the hospital

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police are investigating a shooting that took place Thursday afternoon.

Police say a shots fired call came in at around 1:26 p.m. at E. Fifth Street and Pemberton Street. One victim with a gunshot wound was transported to the hospital. Their condition is not known at this time.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
