Boy, 16, shot to death at African market in Brooklyn Park

A homicide investigation is underway following the fatal shooting of a teen at a Brooklyn Park strip mall.

It happened Friday night on the 5700 block of Brookdale Dr., where police were dispatched “to a shooting at the African Market,” a news release says. Responding officers found a 16-year-old male suffering from “numerous gunshot wounds.”

They provided emergency aid at the scene, though the victim later died at a nearby hospital.
