
Police say one person has died from a shooting that happened outside of an after-hours nightclub in southeast Houston.
The shooting happened in a parking lot on the Gulf Freeway and Bellfort at around 4 a.m. Sunday. Officers said a fight broke out as people were leaving the nightclub before shots were fired.
Several people have been detained for questioning. It’s unclear how many people were shot and if there are one or more suspects.
In a separate shooting, officers said five men and a woman were shot at an after-hours club in southwest Houston. It happened in the parking lot of the Latina Sports Bar at Hilcroft Avenue and Sands Point Drive at around 3 a.m. Sunday.
Of the six people shot, four people were taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Investigators are now looking for two suspects that were seen in a black Toyota Camry or Corolla.
