Foot Creek Fire burning 12 miles west of Buffalo, Wyoming in Bighorn National Forest

A fire is currently burning 12 miles west of Buffalo, Wyoming, in the Bighorn National Forest. Dry conditions are expected throughout the weekend, with potential light, terrain-driven winds.

The Foot Creek fire, as it’s been dubbed, is currently estimated to have burnt 413 acres. “The primary objective today is public and firefighter health and safety and structure protection,” the post states.
