Fatal Pedestrian Crash Closes Lake Worth Road Lanes in Palm Springs, Florida

A pedestrian was killed in a crash involving a silver Toyota Camry in Palm Springs, Florida, on Saturday night, police said.

Officers responded to the 3100 block of Lake Worth Road at 7:42 p.m. The pedestrian died at the scene. Their identity was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The driver received treatment at the scene for minor injuries and was cooperating with investigators.

All westbound lanes between South Congress Avenue and the 3200 block of Lake Worth Road were closed during the investigation. Police encouraged motorists to use alternate routes.
