Japan Plans November 2 Appeal for Households to Stock Three Days of Emergency Supplies

Japan plans to urge households to keep at least three days of emergency supplies, preferably enough for a week, according to International Business Times UK, citing Japanese broadcaster FNN.
Disaster management minister Goshi Hosono said the nationwide appeal would take place on November 2, coinciding with the launch of Japan’s new Disaster Management Agency.
The appeal will focus on food, water and toilet and sanitation supplies to help households manage without public assistance immediately after a disaster.
