Georgia man convicted of murder in fatal New Rochelle shooting

The verdict was delivered before Judge George Fufidio. Williams’ friends later found her body on the bathroom floor and contacted New Rochelle police.

Prosecutors said Wooten fatally shot 30-year-old Meisha Williams on August 24, 2024, during a verbal confrontation inside her apartment on Clinton Place. Investigators subsequently tracked Wooten’s vehicle to Jamaica, Queens, where he was arrested hours after the shooting.
