Tennessee deputies rescue 2 people from burning vehicle following pursuit, crash

At approximately 1:21 p.m., deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle for reckless driving. Within about one minute, the vehicle crashed into a utility pole in the 1000 block of Daniel Street.

The driver refused to stop and fled into a residential neighborhood, according to the sheriff’s office.
