Highway closed in western NC during police investigation, law enforcement says

19 in Swain County heading into Cherokee is closed until further notice during an investigation, according to law enforcement. 19 between Goose Creek Road and the Swain County line is closed to traffic due to an ongoing investigation.

The Cherokee Indian Police Department reports U.S. Officers said there is not an active threat to the public at this time.
