Cavitt applauds nearly $680,000 in transit funding for Alpena region

The effort is aimed at improving transportation options and strengthening regional mobility around Alpena. "In Northern Michigan, communities are often spread out, and distances can make getting around a serious challenge.

"Reliable transportation is essential for people to get to work, attend medical appointments and take care of their families," said Cavitt, R-Cheboygan.
