Punjabi Influencer Mad Sandhu Shot Dead in Amritsar; Police Search for Attackers

Punjabi makeup artist and social media influencer Mad Sandhu died after being shot in Amritsar, India, on Saturday evening, October 3. He reportedly died while being taken to a hospital.

Two unidentified men opened fire at Sandhu at approximately 6 p.m. Indian Standard Time, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Sirivennela told NDTV. The attackers were reportedly riding a motorcycle.

Attack Reported on Loharka Road

The shooting happened on Loharka Road. Amritsar Police Commissioner Harmanbir Singh Gill said Sandhu had taken his car for washing when he was attacked, according to The Times of India.

Gill said investigators had obtained leads and were working to locate those responsible. Police had not publicly identified the attackers in the reports available Saturday evening.

Known for Makeup and Fashion Content

Sandhu, whose first name was Madhusudan, built an online following through makeup tutorials, fashion and lifestyle videos. He also appeared on podcasts discussing the entertainment industry and gender-related issues.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and examining nearby surveillance footage. The motive remains unconfirmed.
