A magnitude 3.0 earthquake was recorded near Queenstown at 2026-10-02 12:47 NZDT, according to European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC). The earthquake was measured at a depth of about 41.3 km. The epicenter was approximately 85 km from Queenstown.
