24-year-old man dead after Mayes County crash

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a 24-year-old man is dead after a crash in Mayes County on Thursday.

Blaine Steddums from Chouteau was driving eastbound on Highway 412 near South 437 around 12:04 a.m.
OHP said Steddums lost control of his vehicle at a curve and crossed the center line, ran off the road to the left and crashed into a tree.
The road was wet at the time of the crash. Steddums was pronounced dead by medical personnel. OHP said a passenger was injured during the crash.
