El Paso International

El Paso travelers now have a new nonstop option to Music City. On Thursday, El Paso International Airport celebrated the inaugural nonstop flight to Nashville, Tennessee.

Official response and confirmed impact

"This is a really big nonstop flight for El Paso.

We haven't had it before, and now you can go direct to Nashville and enjoy entertainment, nightlife, and just a lot of good food and fun," said Cassandra Davison, marketing and air service development manager for El Paso International Airport.

"And likewise, people from Nashville can come and visit El Paso nonstop." Davison emphasized that community support will be key to keeping the route and potentially attracting more similar nonstop flights.

With the addition of Nashville, Davison said El Paso International Airport now offers 16 nonstop destinations.

Davison also pointed to potential economic benefits tied to new air service.

"It really is a good economic boost as well because when we get new nonstop routes there's a lot of traffic, of course, coming in and out through that new flight," Davison said.

"So in our community we'll be able to see people visiting and eating in our restaurants, staying in our hotels and you know, enjoying the entertainment that we have here in El Paso." Davison said airport staff continues working with airlines to pursue additional routes in the coming years.
