Suspect in fatal shooting released pending further investigation

A Macomb County man who had been arrested as a suspect in the Sept.

19 fatal shooting of another Macomb County man in Pontiac is no longer in police custody as an investigation continues, officials said.

Deputy Tyler Sweers, Oakland County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, told that the suspect, a 31-year-old St. Clair Shores man shot in the leg during the incident, was released from custody pending further investigation.

Sweers identified the fatal shooting victim as Paul Stanley Urbas, Jr. of Mount Clemens.
