Marion School District issues statement after employee arrested in Illinois

The Marion Unit 2 School District issued a statement on Tuesday evening regarding an employee’s arrest.

Arrest and charges

According to Superintendent Becky Moss, the district was informed that an employee assigned to Marion High School was arrested in relation to allegations that took place outside of the school.

Moss said there is no connection to Marion students or staff, and there is no threat to the safety of the school district.
