Two Hookerton men charged with attempted murder in shooting of 16-year-old

Two 19-year-old men have been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with the shooting of a 16-year-old, according to the Greene County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office said the shooting happened Sept. 20. Ni'Jaquez Jacori Deashawn Condery, 19, of Hookerton, was taken into custody Friday morning, Sept.

25, by North Carolina Department of Adult Correction Probation officers in Greene County. Authorities said he was arrested without incident.

Later that day, Greene County deputies arrested Joshua Lucas Edwards, 19, of Hookerton, in the Maury area. He was also taken into custody without incident.
