Augusta Regional Airport raises more than $11K for children’s hospital
Augusta Regional Airport is celebrating a record-breaking year for its 7th annual Meet A Machine event.

The event drew 3,536 ticketed attendees and raised more than $11,000 for local children and families. On Sept.
12, visitors got an up-close look at aircraft, heavy equipment, first responder vehicles, military vehicles, a race car and a monster truck.
“Each year, Meet A Machine continues to grow, but what makes this event truly special isn’t just the attendance, it’s the incredible support from our community,” said Herbert Judon, executive director of Augusta Regional Airport.
The event also included a community blood drive with Shepeard Community Blood Center. The organization reported seven blood donations, including five first-time donors.
The 7th annual Meet A Machine was supported by several sponsors, including Platinum Sponsor M.
Austin Jackson Injury Lawyers and Gold Sponsors America’s Warrior Partnership and Pete Alewine Volumetric Concrete Company.

In total, Meet A Machine brought in $11,201 for Wellstar Golisano Children’s Hospital of Georgia, supporting Children’s Miracle Network programs during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
