One person is dead and three others are injured after a sedan and a tow truck crashed in Standish early Sunday morning.

Authorities say at around 1 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a crash on Chadbourne Road in Standish.

They say the first citizen on the scene reported that the sedan was on fire.

Officials say Leo Rocco, 48, of Baldwin, was driving a flatbed tow truck with two passengers, 32-year-old Luke Boyle of Portland and 37-year-old Trista Townsend of Limington.

Investigators believe a black Chevy Impala crossed the center line and hit the tow truck head-on.

All three people in the truck were taken to Maine Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car died at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash. There is no word yet on his identity.
