Lotte Duty Free’s Incheon Airport return completes its presence across Korea’s four major airports as the retailer targets growth at the DF1 concession

Lotte Duty Free has returned to Incheon International Airport after a three-year absence, taking over the DF1 concession across 15 stores and 4,094 square meters of retail space.

The operation spans cosmetics, fragrances, liquor and tobacco and includes more than 240 brands.

The concession agreement gives Lotte a renewed presence across Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and concourse areas.

Incheon is Korea’s leading gateway, and Lotte sees DF1 as a strategically important opportunity because its core categories play directly to the retailer’s product sourcing capabilities and global operating experience.

The company expects the DF1 area to generate an estimated annual sales increase of KRW 600 billion (US$423.9 million), while providing a stronger foundation for profitability.

The win completes Lotte Duty Free’s coverage of Korea’s four major international airports: Incheon, Gimpo, Gimhae and Jeju.

Lotte secured a rental fee per departing passenger approximately 40% lower than that paid by the previous operator.
