Teenager arrested after cyclist killed in crash

A teenage girl has been arrested following a fatal collision between a car and a cyclist on Friday night.

The crash occurred at around 22:15 BST on the A4440 Swinesherd Way in Worcester, involving a white Suzuki Swift and a man on a pedal cycle.

A man in his 60s, who was the cyclist, sustained serious injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene.

The driver of the car, a 17-year-old girl, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving is currently helping police with inquiries, West Mercia Police said.
