Nenow Earns Top 10 Finish in Rain-Soaked Meadows Challenge

The 25th-ranked Princeton University men's cross country team placed sixth of 15 teams at the rain-soaked Meadows Challenge Saturday at the Princeton XC Course.

Alabama won the meet with 42 points after placing three runners among the top four, including first-place finisher Rodgers Minatum (22:59.4) and runner-up Duncan Gituku (23:07.2).

Princeton finished ahead of the other two Ivy League programs in the field, with Cornell placing seventh and Columbia 14th.

After climbing from 30th through the first 1,500 meters, junior Jacob Nenow was the top Tiger finisher, placing ninth in 23:23.1.

Senior Brian Boler was fifth through 4,500 meters before finishing 14th in 23:26.9.

Sebastian Martinez placed 27th in 23:39.4, while Hayden Boaz rounded out the Tigers' scoring five in 49th at 24:04.9.

Collin Boler placed 63rd in 24:12.3, followed by Sebastian Hume in 70th at 24:16.9 and Avery Keith in 73rd at 24:19.5.
