Two Arrested as Police Launch Rochdale Murder Investigation

Two men have been arrested after a 52-year-old man died following a reported assault in Rochdale, Greater Manchester Police said.

Officers found the victim unconscious on South Parade in the early hours of Saturday, September 26. He was taken to hospital, where he later died.

Both arrested men remain in custody for questioning. Detectives from the Major Incident Team are investigating, and specialist officers are supporting the victim’s family.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with CCTV, doorbell, dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area to come forward.
