Edwardsville Homecoming parade could see showers as games look clear

As Edwardsville High School prepares for Homecoming week, the forecast appears favorable for most of the festivities, although SIUE weather expert Dr. Alan Black said the parade could face some lingering showers.

Official response and confirmed impact

The annual Homecoming parade is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept.

30 in downtown Edwardsville, followed by the football game against O'Fallon at 7 p.m. Oct.

2 at the District 7 Sports Complex and the Homecoming Dance on Oct. 3 at Edwardsville High School.

Father McGivney and Metro-East Lutheran also will celebrate Homecoming. Father McGivney soccer will host Maryville Christian at 7 p.m. Oct.

2, with the dance Oct. 3, while Metro-East Lutheran football will host Unity Christian at 7 p.m. Oct.

2, with its dance also scheduled for Oct. 3.

“For the parade, that’s a little up in the air, but the homecoming game and the dance do look like the conditions will be better,” Black said.
