Multiple teens shot near high school in Las Vegas, police say

Police in Las Vegas are investigating a Monday afternoon shooting that left at least 3 people injured near a high school.

Officers were called to the scene at Don Carlos Drive and East Katie Avenue around 11:45 a.m. local time. The scene is near Chaparral High School.

“The initial reports to the LVMPD were that there were several teenage juveniles shooting at each other,” police said, according to FOX 5.

The school was placed on lockdown and residents were being asked to avoid the area.

The conditions of those wounded are unknown. It was also unclear if a suspect or suspects were in custody.
