Oklahoma City Police are still investigating the shooting that happened just after 4 PM on Thursday.
“It doesn’t appear this is an accidental shooting. It appears it was a domestic situation with an exchange of gunfire,” said Captain Michelle Henderson with the OKC Police Department.
The shooting happened in the Deer Creek Park neighborhood on MacArthur Boulevard.
News 4 spoke to the neighbor who called 911. She said Oklahoma City Police got to the area within minutes, after she helped the kids at the house get to safety.
“We have 6 kids total here. I don’t know how many kids were in the house and how many kids were outside but we have located all of the children associated with this house and made sure they’re safe,” said Captain Henderson.
Neighbors in the area say a shooting like this is unusual in the area. As for now, police are trying to get more answers.
