The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office — on the scene at Delta Downs Casino in Vinton — said there is no active threat at the location and a shooting never occurred there.

Spokesperson Kayla Vincent said at about 2 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the casino after Vinton Police Department said they received a call in reference to a possible active shooter at the location.
Vincent said deputies cleared the area and discovered no threat. She said detectives will continue investigating.
