Prince Louis will attend the Royal Family’s Christmas celebrations at Sandringham for the first time this year.

The four-year-old caught the nation’s attention with his mischievous antics during Queen Elizabeth’s platinum anniversary celebrations over the summer.

Now Prince William and Kate’s youngest child is allowed to join the family on their traditional Christmas walk to church, The mirror reports.

The final decision on Prince Louis’s presence at Sandringham will not be made until the day itself.

But it’s hoped the youngster will make the proceedings light and festive, along with his older siblings Prince George, nine, and Princess Charlotte, seven.

Charlotte was also four when she took part in her first Christmas walk in 2019.

Prince Louis stole the spotlight during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations as he chatted with the Queen.

The four-year-old showed several funny expressions as he sat next to his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, in the royal box during the fourth day of the platinum anniversary celebrations.

He was sometimes seen clenching his fists, sticking out his tongue, waving his arms in the air, placing his hands over his mother’s mouth and standing on his chair to get a better view of the spectacle.

He later moved in with his other relatives and sat on the lap of his grandfather Prince Charles, who pointed out various interesting parts of the parade to try and keep the four-year-old entertained.

The Royal Walk is a family tradition on Christmas Day. They go from Sandringham to St. Mary Magdalene Church to attend the morning service.

They have been celebrating in Sandringham since 1988, but due to the pandemic, they stayed in Windsor in 2020 and 2021.

The family is taking a 300m public walk for the benevolent public along the route to the church – which can fit 100 people with the monarch in the front row.

Harry and Meghan are said to be frozen from King Charles’ first Christmas dinner at Sandringham as monarch.

King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla are hosting dinner for what insiders describe as members of “the loyal family.”

It is likely that Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, and her daughter Laura Lopes will attend the royal luncheon.

Mike Tindall and Zara Phillips would also be on the list along with their children.

A source told The Sun: ‘Camilla would like her family to be in the heart of Christmas, especially as Charles won’t have his youngest son there. It’s an extremely important Christmas, just months after they were last all gathered for the Queen’s funeral.

“Last Christmas the family desperately tried to solve Prince Andrew and his sexual assault case and then there was the incident of the intruder carrying a crossbow at Windsor Castle.

“We saw the togetherness this week at the Princess of Wales Christmas carol concert and Christmas will be held in the same vein.”
