Mass Shooting in Indianapolis Leaves Two Dead, Several Injured

INDIANAPOLIS – An investigation is underway following a deadly mass shooting early Saturday morning that claimed the lives of two individuals and left several others injured.

According to officials, Indianapolis police were already responding to a separate disturbance when they received reports of another incident nearby. As officers approached the second location, they were met with gunfire.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and six others were transported to the hospital, where one succumbed to their injuries. The victims, a mix of juveniles and adults, have not yet been publicly identified.

Authorities found multiple firearms at the scene and detained several individuals for questioning. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has not yet released further details about the incident.
