VIDEO: storm surge and flooding are occurring as Tropical Storm Debby passes by pushing water into homes

Currently, significant storm surge and flooding are impacting Fort Myers Beach, Florida, as Tropical Storm Debby passes by.
Reports indicate that residents and business owners are being evacuated from the area due to rising water levels from the the storm surge, currently an estimated at 2 to 4 feet of storm surge is expected along with high tides, creating dangerous conditions.

Emergency services are on high alert. Forecast models suggest that Tropical Storm Debby may intensify into a Category 1 hurricane by late Sunday evening, with winds potentially gusting up to 90 mph.
